Why is it that when you are holidaying at home you get the urge to restyle, move things around and do stuff around your home? I’ve noticed quite a bit of this on Instagram where everyone is doing little projects for the their homes. I’ve always loved potted succulents and had searched high and low for some little pots. I couldn’t find any plain white or coloured pots anywhere so I decided to paint my own. After a successful trip to Bunnings I came home equipped.
I picked up these pots for $3.00 each from the pot aisle at Bunnings. They had terrible patterns and colours on them but they were the perfect shape and size. I also bought the succulents and cacti from Bunnings. Ranging from about $3.99 to $5.99 from the indoor plant section.
I then purchased 2 colours in spray paint. I used the Rust- Oleum brand as you don’t need to use a primer and it was suitable to use on ceramic.
I quick spray paint and when they were dry I repotted the succulents and cacti.
I can see myself moving these all around the house.
So easy and so much fun, they would make a cute present too.
Have you been doing any projects over the holidays?
