With Spring around the corner, what a great time to start to thinking about more ways to get outside.  We seem to spend so much time inside with technology and crazy work schedules that we often forget how easy it is to spend time outside and how good it will make us feel.

5 Ways to Get Outside More

Take the dog for a walk

What a great way to make both yourself and your pet happy.  Get off the couch, grab the lead and go grab man’s best friend and take him for a walk.  I’m sure your dog won’t object.  This is a great way to get some fresh air and get some much needed vitamin D this Winter.

Eat dinner outside

There is nothing better than eating outside, especially as the weather gets better.  We are often so stressed by the end of the day and we don’t take the time out to enjoy a family dinner.  Take your meal outside, grab some large blankets  and eat together in the fresh air and sunshine.  It’s a great way to catch up with your family members and chat about the day.

Do some gardening

We don’t get to spend much time in the garden over Winter but with Spring fast approaching its a great way to get outdoors.  Gardening is also great exercise.  Not only will you have a tidy garden but you’ll have also benefited from being outdoors and moving your body.

Visit a park

I love taking the kids to the park.  We often take the dog as he loves to run around the park and meet other dogs.  Even if you don’t have kids, a walk in the park is a great way to feel refreshed and energized.

Take your work outside

With modern technology like bluetooth and wireless it’s so easy to take your office outside.  Grab a picnic rug, a coffee and your set for the day.  I am sure you’ll work more productively in the sunshine.

Don’t wait for a Summer holiday to get your sunshine fix, just get outside.
