If you follow along on Instagram you’ll know that I had a family holiday down at Blairgowrie on the Mornington Peninsula over the Summer school holiday break.  I absolutely love it down the beach and can’t wait till the day I finally build my own beach house. In the meantime staying in lovely rentals will do and the house we stayed in was a brand new home.

I had a lot of enquiries on Instagram about where we stayed and how I came about renting it,

The house had just been built and had 3 good sized bedrooms that slept eight.  All the linen and towels were provided which is so handy when it comes to packing.  There was fully equip dryer, washing machine and all the modern facilities including a coffee pod machine.

The master bedroom was a the front of the house.

The back of the house opened up to a beautiful backyard full of tea trees. It was quite elevated and had a lovely view down to the reserve that it backed onto.

I used Verve Beach Side and we stayed at the Blairgowrie Retreat Holiday house, you can check it out here in more detail.

There are so many gorgeous shops to visit in Blairgowrie, Rye and Sorrento.  Lot’s of cafes and eateries as well as many of the gorgeous beaches to choose from.

One of the things I enjoyed was to run each morning and discover gorgeous beach houses.  When in the car you don’t get to see these places as they are tucked in behind fences and trees.

I always stopped to snap my favourite houses.

This one was a favourite, it was on a huge block in Blairgowrie.  I love the flat roof and white garage door.

This house caught my eye for it’s uniqueness and quirky style.  When I was taking this picture a man walking his dog stopped and told me that this home had been on Better Homes and Gardens for its design.  It sure was different.  The front of the house was shaped like a 7, which was actually the garage and the number of the house.  Very clever.

I also visited this place which just happened to have an open house as it was for sale.  I posted a few pictures on Instagram if you want to take a look or other wise you can view it here.

Not a bad beach pad for 1.6 million +.

As I write this post we are now all back to work and school dreaming of the next time we get to visit one of our favourite spots.

Do love to explore new places and check out the real estate?
