Décor and Design is back this year and is celebrating its 15th edition! It will return to Melbourne with an amazing line up of designers, international and local guest speakers, events and experiences. Decor + Design will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from Thursday 19 July – Sunday 22 July.

The team have just announced that their 2018 keynote speaker is global design powerhouse, Martyn Lawrence Bullard who was recently named the world’s top interior designers by Architectural Digest.

Known as one of the leading trade shows for interiors and design, Decor + Design is bringing back some of the most highly anticipated features to their schedule including the International Seminar Series, Trend Hub, Daily Trend Tours, Design Laneway & Wall Street and AIFF loves Homemade.

One of the most prominent features on the schedule is the VIVID Design Competition. Unearthing incredible talent year on year, VIVID is calling for last entries now ahead of the competition closing on March 30th 2018.

Announcing the 2018 Dulux Colour Awards that received a record-breaking 305 entries, which a panel of design experts have narrowed down to 124 finalists across Australia and New Zealand.

The iconic awards program, now in its 32nd year, celebrates exceptional use of colour by Australian and New Zealand designers in commercial and residential spaces.

This year’s 124 finalists were chosen across nine categories: Commercial Interior – Workplace & Retail (20); Commercial Interior – Public Spaces & Hospitality (20 finalists); Commercial Exterior (9 finalists); Single Residential Interior (29 finalists); Single Residential Exterior (14 finalists); Multi Residential Interior (6 finalists); Multi Residential Exterior (3 finalists); International (13 finalists); Student (10 finalists).

The finalists will now be judged by leading figures in the design industry where winners will be announced at a gala event at the NGV on 10 May 2018. Judges include Miriam Fanning – Founder and Principal Interior Designer of Mim Design; David Hicks – Director of David Hicks; Katelin Butler – Editor of Houses magazine; David Flack – Founder of Flack Studio; and Murali Bhaskar – Design Director of Boon Goldsmith Bhaskar Brebner Team Architects in New Zealand.
