Creating interiors you will want to hang out in is easy. There is so much inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram and in magazines. If you follow a few simple steps there really isn’t that much to it.
Create a space you want to be in:
Not a space out of a magazine. A space that you love, it doesn’t have to be on trend, the right colours or fashion, just a space that you are comfortable in and with stuff you love. I pretty much just throw together want I want but if I love it, then that’s all that matters.
Have comfy couches:
When creating your space, make sure your couches are comfy. No point choosing couches because of what they look on the showroom floor, make sure you test drive them. If they’re not comfy, you won’t want to spend time in that space.
Create vignettes:
Collections of things that tell a story. I love gathering my favourite objects together to create little vignettes. These bring colour and interest to my living space and often include reading material that I can pick up where I left off when I get a chance to sit down.
Cushions, cushions and more cushions:
I really don’t think you can have enough cushions, they add colour, texture and interest and make it cosy and comfortable when sitting or lying on the couch.
