In this busy life we tend to forget the simple things that can make our lives a little heathier and happier.  It’s important to take a few moments each day to better yourself and overall it will have a huge impact on your life and the way you feel.

8 Simple ways to be Heathier and Happier

Be a mindful Eater

I don’t mean strict diets or cutting back on the foods we love but to just be mindful of what we are eating.  If you scoff down a packet of chips in front of the tele and don’t remember eating one chip then perhaps it’s time for you to be a little more mindful of what’s going into your mouth.

Enjoy the Outdoors

Being one with nature and simply getting outdoors more can really lift your mood.  Talk a brisk walk around your neighbourhood or simply get up from your computer and get outdoors.

Look Up

The next time you are out and about, put down your phone and look around you.  When you go for a walk really take the time to take in what is around you.  Pause for a moment and look up at the clouds, sky or moon.

Wind Down

Turn off technology 15 to 30 minutes before going to bed and let your mind rest.  Grab your favourite book or magazine and wind down.  This will make it easier to go to sleep as well as helping you get a good nights sleep.

Take The Stairs

Whether it’s at the supermarket, at school, work, skip the lift and take the stairs.  At the supermarket, park  the car further away so you walk that little bit further to the entrance. Simple steps leading you to a healthier life.

Hydrate

It is so important to hydrate your body.  Water is the best to get the fluids we need as well as in fruits and some foods.  Drink an extra glass of water everyday which will help you feel fuller for longer and curb hunger pains.

Get Moving

Move that body everyday.  Whether its jumping jacks in the morning, horse riding ( if that’s your thing),  going for a run or simply taking your dog for a walk.  Get moving everyone!

Get Plenty Of Sleep

Such an important factor in our overall health and state of mind.  Adults generally require seven to eight hours of sleep a night so get to bed early and get up early so you get fit in that bit of exercise your promised yourself.
