A new concept store has opened by One Fine Print and Felix Furniture at 165 Queens Parade, Clifton Hill in Melbourne, running from 24 October to 22 December and is really worth checking out if you get the time.
Shying away from the traditional retail store, and wanting to create an inspirational living space it was aptly called “Pop-Up Galleria”.
One Fine Print and Felix furniture combined forces as they wanted to showcase their hand crafted furniture and curated collection of photographic art prints similar to how you would display them in your home. “We want people to see how our range of art prints could look in their home. We aren’t interested in displaying them in the traditional gallery format. By partnering with Felix Furniture and other locally made homewares we are able to bring to customers a shop that feels like a home you just want to spend time in,” Elizabeth Bull from One Fine Print said.
One Fine Print is a curated collection of prints from talented Australian photographers. “Our aim with One Fine Print is to bring people beautiful and inspiring photography that they might otherwise not get to experience,”Elizabeth says. “There will be no need to trawl through looking for treasure. We’ve created something that until now has been difficult to find: a curated forum of unique, bold, intriguing large photographic prints that people can take home and enjoy.”
Elizabeth broached the idea of collaborating after seeing how well their ranges worked together after pairing upfor a design trade show. Antonia and Ian from Felix Furniture loved the idea of combining the two small businesses to create a showcase galleria of their respective products so customers had a place they could come and see, as well as feel and experience the furniture.
Visitors to the store have the chance to win a carefully curated ‘look’ from within the store, filled with goodies from a range of their suppliers as well as an incredible print from One Fine Print and an iconic piece from Felix Furniture.
