On the weekend I dabbled in a bit of gardening.  It seems that when the sun comes out ( and it did in Melbourne over the weekend), I get the urge to get out into the garden. Here is some the gardening around my place.

I’m no green thumb but I do like to keep the garden at my place neat and tidy.  Trimming hedges and keeping the grass short is probably about as complicated as it gets around here.  Also a quick blower vac and the garden is done.   When we planned our garden we wanted to make sure that is was low maintenance, so we had more time to enjoy it, rather than be a slave to it.

My hubby bought me the Blower/Hedge trimmer kit from Ryobi that is light weight and so easy for me to use.  It’s not complicated to charge and it gets the job done, and quickly too.  With the sun shining and all the rain we’ve had this Autumn there was some serious trimming to be done.

So with all the gardening done it was time to get inspired by some gorgeous gardens.

I thought I’d share a few of my favourites with you today.

If you are designing a garden, I highly recommend an outdoor shower.  They come in very handy on the long Summer nights and the kids love to shower outside.

Neat and tidy hedges.  I’d love a garden like this one.

A dry creek bed running through your garden.  I love this idea.

A gorgeous cottage garden with beautiful flowers.  I’d love to sit there and have a cup of tea.

I hope you got a bit of gardening inspiration today.  Have you been gardening lately?  What type of garden do you have?
