My daughter’s birthday is today and on the weekend I am taking nine, 11 and 12 year old girls out to lunch. So to say thank you for coming I wanted to give each one of the girls something sweet and special to take home.
I made popcorn thank you jars. On each jar I stuck a pen and a tiny post it note. This concept was so easy to put together and cost under $5.00 each to make.
I started with buying the mason jars from Typo. With pink lids of course. I bought them on line to save me having to lug them through the shopping centre.
I bought an assortment of stickers from Blank Goods.
Gold tape and post in notes from Daiso.
Hot pink and light pink pens from Pavement for $1.00 each.
I popped the popcorn myself .
Then I melted 250 g of white Cadbury chocolate melts and mixed it into the popcorn. I then added the marshmallows and 100’s and 1000’s.
I filled the jars with the sweet sticky popcorn.
I used the pretty stickers and tape to decorate the jars. I added the pen and a thank you gift tag and then stuck the post it notes on the lid. Hey presto, they are going to love them.
I’ll let you know how I go.
Yum. What a great idea. Would love to see some birthday photos. Have fun!
