I was cleaning up a bit yesterday as it was 43 degrees outside (to hot to do anything really).  Oh my gosh, look what I found, my swap card collection from when I was in primary school (so about 30 years or more ago shhhhh).  They were still in their precise order and in little sets and in really great condition.

From memory I think we bought them at the Milkbar.  A bit like the Pokemon cards of today.  I remember my favourites were these ones below.  How I cherished these cards.  I am so glad that I found them.

My Mum also gave me these Little Noddy books.  I am not sure of the date of these but they would have to be 1970’s or earlier.

The crystal cake stand was my late Nanna’s and was her wedding present from the 1930’s.

When I did a bit of searching on the internet I found this lovely blogpost from The Lark blog.  They to had discovered vintage swap cards as well and had quite a collection to share.  Here are some of the images from the lark blog.  Why don’t you pop over and take a look.
