On the weekend I decided to paint this little side table that I had in the garage.
I didn’t’ take a photo of what it looked like before but it was white and chipped and had the shabby chic look.
I really love the colour yellow and picked up some spray paint from Bunnings. It was hard to judge the shade of yellow by the lids so I bought two popular brands.
I tried the table out in my bedroom as a bedside table. The bright yellow really pops against the grey tones.
It also looked really cute as a side table in my living room. I styled it with hot pink, two of my favourite colour combos.
It’s amazing how a coat of paint can transform what you hated before into a new funky piece of furniture.
I used the Rust-oleum as I didn’t need to use a primer or base coat. This can did both. It spayed on very easily and had great coverage. I did two coats to achieve the gloss finish. Now I cannot wait to give other pieces of furniture a new lease of life.
Have you done a weekend project lately, I’d love to hear about it?
Can’t believe how fantastic that little table looks. It must be quite a few years old and did look quite shabby in white. Well done.
Something old turned new with your style and creativity at work.
I know, it only took 2 coats and it has come up like new. I recommend the Rustoleum spray paint as it works really well.

This looks fantastic. I have been wanting to try the rustoleum spray paint. The finish looks so professional.
My weekend project was making decorative crosses for the wall.
Hi Sophia
The finish from the Rustoleum spray is so good, the colour range is fantastic as well. Thanks for stopping by
