Good food and great company are essential to any Christmas celebration, but it’s also fun to set the stage for a perfectly styled Christmas setting.  We all know that money can be tight at this time of the year, with budgets for presents and food, there’s not much left in the kitty when it comes to Christmas styling for your home.

So when TK Maxx asked me to style my home for Christmas on a budget, I was excited by the challenge.  TK Maxx is famous in Europe for bringing brand name high quality apparel and homewares at fantastic prices and has now opened it’s doors here in Australia.  They offer thousands of brands under one roof at great value.

My mission was to style my home for Christmas on a budget of $150 with products from TK Maxx Christmas range of homeware. So off I went to my local store.  TK Maxx has 38 stores along the east coast, find your nearest one here.

TK Maxx is the new one stop shop for all your Christmas needs and they make shopping a breeze.  There are also a huge range of gifts for the whole family.  There’s festive decor entertaining and outdoor, accessories, seasonal fashion and more.

The home decor section was filled with lots of gorgeous festive items.  Each section was colour co ordinated which made shopping a breeze and meant keeping to your colour theme was really simple.  I adore the silver theme but also love white for Christmas.

Stores receive weekly deliveries in the lead up to Christmas with thousands of new products arriving.  My advice is if you see something you love, purchase it that day as chances are when you return to the store it may be gone.

I adore these spools of coloured ribbon all laid out on shelves which meant choosing cards, wrapping and finishing touches so simple.

I discovered so many treasures on my shopping trip.  It really felt like I was on a treasure hunt.

I was able to purchase so many items within my budget.  I loved these Christmas baubles that make a great decoration for your tree or create interest and scatter them as a table centre piece.  These were great value at $8.95 for a box set.

I love decorating the entrance of my home.  A decorated entry sets the scene for what guests will find inside.  A few simple white birch trees and a pine cone decoration added to my front entrance keeps decorating simple but stylish.

I added this gorgeous Christmas wreath with battery operated fairy lights to finish off the space. TK Maxx had lots of wreaths to choose from and this one was only $34.95.

I also love styling little vignettes around my home.  I love sticking to a colour theme and creating little stories about Christmas.  Mantels and side boards are perfect for this type of decoration.

Here I have used a cute set of white Christmas houses for $12.95 and added a scattering of baubles.  Keeping with my white theme, these decorations are affordable and on trend.
