We visited the Royal Melbourne Show on the weekend. The weather was very cold and raining and extremely windy but the crowds were out to enjoy the day.

We visited the Masterchef kitchen which had been relocated to the Melbourne Showgrounds. The revamped Centenary Hall Pavilion has become the new Masterchef HQ, complete with the lounge, nooks, wine room and famous pantry. It has never been used before but it showed how the set worked and gave you a behind the scenes view.

The famous Masterchef pantry that we got to walk through.

I would love this at home.

We bought tickets for this ride but Master four decided at the last minute it was to much. The tears started and we asked for a refund.

You cannot go to the show without eating at least four Dagwood Dogs (battered Hot-dog on a stick) a little family tradition that my husband started. Lollypops and hot jam donuts are also a must have for the day.

Olivia loved the pony’s and also got to see the Equestrian horse jumping so she was a very happy girl.

The kids bought lots of show bags, Idiot bag, Fizz Wizz, Ben 10, Hubba Bubba and loads more.

Lastly we visited the animal nursery. Lots of baby goats, piglets, chicks and bunny rabbits to oooh and ahh over. A great way to finish off a tiring, fun day.

Have you visited the Show this year?
