When you come to decorate your Home there are a lot of things you will want to think about changing. It is investable that sometimes you will have ugly features such as a radiator and cables which just don’t fit in with your new design. The good news is that we are here today to talk about how you can hide these features for a stunning home.

Dog Bowl Drawer

If you are a dog owner, you are probably familiar with tripping over your dog’s bowl when you walk through the kitchen and ending up with food or water all over the floor. To avoid having your dog bowls on display all the time, you can build them into one of your kitchen drawers. All you need to do is choose a bottom drawer which your dog can reach, add a piece of plywood to the top with circles cut out, and place the bowls inside. Once your dog has finished eating to can clean the bowl, put it back and shut the drawer. Just make sure you teach your dog how to open the drawer with a piece of rope so that they can access water!

Aircon Cover

Aircon units aren’t attractive and they will often take away that magical feel fork your home. To avoid this happening you can place something over the unit in order to make it look like part of your design. For example, you can add a chalkboard on top of it and then use the board to write down your to-do list for the day. You will have a useful board in the house as well as an aircon which isn’t visible.

Hiding cables

Cables are the bane of everyone’s life. We have so many cables hiding behind our TV Unit or in the kitchen which look harsh against our interior design. There are a few different ways you can make the most of cables, and actually, you might want to simply add accessories to them if they will always be on show. You can paint a cable green and add paper leaves and birds for a vine effect, think about covering the cable with the same colour as the wall, or even braid some string around the cable to beautify it.

Decorate your radiator

You will often have a stunning living room design, which is just ruined by that big chunky radiator which lies underneath the window. But don’t fret, we have a way that you can make your radiator feel like part of the room. All you will need is a few pieces of plywood, a piece which is laced or open, and some paint. Measure the radiator and create a box around it, placing the open or laced piece of wood at the front to let the heat out. Screw it in, paint it whatever colour or design you want and it will instantly look much better than before. You can even cover it with the same pattern as you have on the wall for an awesome effect.
