For it’s 21st year Melbourne has put on a horticultural wonderland for the annual Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.  I was lucky enough to attend with a media pass and was in awe of the workmanship, creativity, colour and magic that the show put on.

This would have to be the largest bouquet I’ve ever seen. I was almost as tall as me and was just amazing.

So much wonderful, creative talent at the show this year. RMIT Bachelor of Fashion students showcased 16 horticulture inspired fashion designs and they were amazing.

New to MIFGS this year is the introduction of the Gardens by Twilight event, providing visitors with the opportunity to see the Show Gardens and Floral Designs by night.

Long term exhibitors and old favourites returned with a host of new talent that was just amazing.  Internationally acclaimed UK landscape designer Paul Hervey-Brooks brought his passion of plants also.

I’d love the have this in my backyard.  How green is that luscious grass and can you see the pool in the top left hand corner?  I also love the concrete pergola.

So much luscious green and copious amounts of planting.  I love that look of over planting.

I was able to pick up some really cheap flowers from the Fresh Flower Market.  These roses are perfect.

So much talent from the array of schools that had their work displayed.

I adore this underwater scene, all made from fresh flowers.  Just spectacular and I can see why it go first place.
