Cleaning the house is a never ending chore at my place and I’m always on the hunt for shortcuts. Pets and kids create of mix of messy floors and staying on top of it all is a weekly chore.

I kind of have a love hate relationship with vacuum cleaners.  Some claim to do the job but from experience they fail to pick up breadcrumbs and dust.  Some cleaners are cordless but the battery never lasts the round trip of my place and I can’t count how many times I’ve run out of vacuum bags.

So when I was asked to review the Miele Blizzard CX1 Multi Floor PowerLine,  I had a few points I wanted to tick off my list.

  • Must not be heavy
  • Definitely must not be noisy
  • Bagless and easy to clean the compartment
  • A cord long enough that I am not changing power points for every room
  • Amazing suction

My home is mostly floor boards with carpet in the bedrooms.  I also have rugs on the floors in my living rooms.  The first thing I noticed when using the Blizzard CX1 was how gentle it was on the floor boards.

It also has HEPA*  an AirClean lifetime filter, up to 99.999% * of even the smallest particles such as fine dust and allergens are retained by the system.  Great for those who allow pets in the house.  After a quick vacuum, I was amazed by the amount of dust that was extracted from my rugs. It was quite disgusting to think that all that dirt and dust was lying there in my rugs.  Thanks to the powerful cleaning of Vortex technology this vacuum is so powerful at 1,100 W.  It really sucked up heaps of dirt and did a great job.

To sum up the Miele Blizzard CX1 Multi Floor PowerLine, here are some quick facts that I discovered from my review.

  • It has the best suction results via very high air throughput.
  • It has great cleaning performance: Air flow of more than 100 km/h ensures coarse and fine dust is collected perfectly.
  • It has hygienic emptying with innovative dust separation.
  • Easy handling: Easily remove the container by pulling the handle and touch a button to empty at the bottom.
  • Great cleaning performance at all times: The Gore®CleanStream® fine dust filter cleans itself automatically.
  • Always at hand: Two accessories stored in the appliance and a separate dusting brush are supplied as standard.

Retailing for $799AU this vacuum cleaner is competitively priced when compared to other leading brands.
