Upcycling furniture with paint is quick, fun and well a great way to turn your trash into treasure. It’s amazing what a lick of paint can do to your old, tired furniture.  I have up cycled a few pieces for my home.

I sprayed some things jade green.  A pot and some old ceramic containers.  I added a jade green Aura cushion and the whole look tied in together.  One of my favourite colour combinations is navy and jade green.

My yellow side table, was once shabby chic white.  I sprayed in bright yellow (spray paint from Bunnings) and it instantly uplifted my bedroom.  I move this side table around my house constantly.  The bright yellow makes such a happy statement.

So before you throw out that tired, old, wooden, crappy piece of furniture, have a good look at it.  Maybe a lick of paint is all it needs to give it a new lease of life.

This sideboard is over 30 years old.  It was mission brown and from when I was growing up in the 80’s.  A lick of white paint and it is transformed into a piece that can be used today.

When painting furniture, think outside the box and go with colours you love.  Remember if you hate it in the end you can always re paint it.

I adore this red painted bed.  What a gorgeous statement it makes, perfect in any girls bedroom.

What about shades of the same colour.  You are really only limited by your imagination.

Have you upcyled furniture lately?
