I often make pancakes for breakfast. Once you try this recipe you will never ever buy the pre made stuff and shake a bottle ever again.
The ingredients you use are staples that everybody has and they take no time at all to whip up a batch.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup self raising flour
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 tsp bicarb soda
- 2 tablespoons of caster sugar
- 1 free range egg
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 20g of melted butter
Method:
Place all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together till you get a light batter.
Cook batter over a low heat in a lightly greased fry pan. I melt the butter in the fry pan first and then pour this into the batter. That way the fry pan has been lightly greased.
Enjoy with maple syrup and fresh strawberries, lemon and sugar, peanut butter or a favourite in our house Nutella.
